Abstrakt: Cross-reactivity between Candida albicansand representative Enterobacteriaceaewas investigated by agglutination methods. It was observed that anti-Candidaserum reacted to certain groups of salmonellae and shigellae. The only antiserum against the enteric bacilli that reacted with Candidawas SalmonellaC1. When anti-Candidaserum was adsorbed with C. albicansor S. montevideo, all the activity was removed. However, when the anti-Salmonellaserum was adsorbed with the antigens, Salmonellaadsorbed the whole antibody activity, whereas Candidaremoved only its corresponding antibody.
