Abstrakt: Since operating temperature of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) is relatively high, SOFCs must consist of heat resistant components, such as ceramics, which results in high cost. In this study, SOFCs with a proton-conductor as the electrolyte membrane was fabricated on metal supports and examined for lower-temperature operation of SOFCs. Technological issues of such metal-supported proton-conducting SOFCs (p-SOFCs) prepared by pulse laser deposition (PLD) are analyzed through microstructural observation and electrochemical characterization.
