Enhancement of the 15.4 nm Line of the Lithiumlike Aluminum Recombining Plasma Laser using a Half Cavity

Abstrakt: A 30-mm long aluminum slab target was irradiated by a line-focused Nd; glass laser light. The relative intensity of the 3d2D-4f2Flaser line (15.4 nm) of the lithiumlike aluminum ions was measured. In this experiment, we put a Mo/Si multilayer mirror on the opposite side of the spectrometer to construct a half cavity. With the use of this mirror, the intensity of the 15.4 nm line became 1.8 times larger than the case without the mirror.
