Abstrakt: Characteristics of a newly designed fork-type piezoactuator used in a parts feeder was investigated. This actuator consisted of two bimorphs using lead zirconate titanate ceramics, which were linked to each end in the shape of a fork. Vibration displacements of the fork-type actuator were measured optically and analyzed into vibration modes. The fork-type actuator had the advantage in that it transmits less power to a base than a conventional bimorph-type actuator.
