Loss processes of metastable nitrogen molecules A3?u+in a Townsend discharge have been investigated in N2/NO, N2/CCl2F2and N2/CH2FCF3mixtures. The collisional quenching rate coefficients of N2(A3?u+) by NO, CCl2F2and CH2FCF3are determined using a new theory which takes the reflection at the boundary into account in solving the diffusion equation. The collisional quenching rate coefficients of N2(A3?u+) by NO, CCl2F2and CH2FCF3are 4.75×10-11, 8.32×10-13and 2.96×10-15cm3s-1, respectively. |
