Abstrakt: Abstract:Sexuality of Black LGBTQ/SGL elders are often underrepresented in research because of their being race, sexual orientation, gender identity, and age. Through the complex lens of personal narrative, three Black LGBTQ/SGL elders discuss intersections of age, activism, and sexuality. Each elder, two cis and one trans, ages 68–80, has been an advocate of sexual freedom. Such narrative upends whitewashed images of early "gay rights" movement. Each Black LGBTQ/SGL elder in this article had their own individual paths and truths. The only white voice is of a cisgender lesbian sex researcher who conducted the interviews and anthologized the voices for a volume of narratives that includes each of these excerpts and narratives of other LGBTQ elders.
