The effect of phonon focusing on the electron-phonon relaxation and electron transport in potassium crystals

Abstrakt: •The Bloch-Gruneisen theory is incorrect to describe the electrical resistance.•Transverse phonons dominate in the electrical resistance at low temperatures.•Longitudinal phonons dominate in the electrical resistance at high temperatures.•Shear waves make the resistance greater than longitudinal ones at low temperatures.•At 40K - 400K, the calculated resistance aligns well with the experimental data.
