Control of disturbed LPV systems in a LMI setting

Abstrakt: This paper is concerned with the control of a discrete-time LPV system affected by bounded disturbances. First, an input-to-state stable observer-based controller is synthesized. In the sequel, we compute the invariant ellipsoid that assures constraints satisfaction and has the maximal projection on the initial state subspace. In order to increase the system robustness (quantified in terms of ellipsoidal set volume), a Youla parameter is designed. This parameter enlarges the invariant set projection but slows the closed-loop performances. A compromise between robustness and performance is obtained by imposing a new bound on the Lyapunov function decreasing rate.
