Abstrakt: To the Editor: Thank you for sending me the letter which you are going to publish and which Dr. Van Gelder wrote concerning the article we published. I would agree with Dr. Van Gelder that there are certainly differences between his patient and the one that we described and also many of those in the literature. They were both girls and both started with infection at an early age. Both of them had variable responses to infection as far as the white cell count goes. Ours, however, never did develop a leukocytosis as did his patient on numerous occasions. Moderate axillary lymphadenopathy was mentioned once in the summary of his patient when the child was 15 months of age, but no other lymphadenopathy was mentioned. His patient, like ours, did have hepatomegaly, although his did not have splenomegaly. I can make no comment on the actual level of γ-globulin present
