Abstract: The analysis of the distribution of nemoral diurnal butterflies of the Apaturagenus (Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae) and weather conditions in the Transbaikal region has revealed relationships which shed light on the underlying causes of penetration of these butterflies far inside Siberia in the last decades. For all Apaturaspecies, the temperature is the factor which determines their normal habitation conditions, while for Apatura irisand A. metis, air humidity plays an important role as well. |
