Usage of the influence coefficient during calculation of a nominal error of gas counters

Abstrakt: In this paper we estimate the method of finding the relative error of gas flow meters, taking into account the coefficient of influence. As part of the study, a literature review was carried out, which showed that the enterprises of the oil and gas industry use flowmeters, which, due to their metrological characteristics, show specific values of gas consumption under operating conditions. The paper considers various types of gas flow meters, as well as describes the qualitative indicators of the devices. Additional errors are investigated depending on the change in the operating conditions of the product: temperature and pressure of the measured environment. The calculations of the relative error of the counter taking into account the limit values of additional errors specified in the technical documentation, as well as calculations taking into account the coefficients of influence in the operating conditions. Based on the obtained values of the influence coefficients, graphs were plotted, on which the influence of temperature and pressure on the error is visible. The article presents the tabular values of the coefficients of influence for oil gas, the conclusion regarding the applicability of the method is made.
