Abstrakt: In this article, we shall describe the technique used to close a complicated ductus arteriosus. The procedure includes the use of cardiopulmonary bypass, hypothermia, and circulatory arrest. It is based on Kirklin's advice for closure of the Potts fistula. Measures to eliminate air embolism will be mentioned, and other techniques to be employed will be discussed.
