A ruler was developed with graduations in area units of cm2from the functional relationship Log10Leaf Area (cm2) = a + b Log10Leaf Length (cm). The functional relationship was established for cotton (Gossypium hirsutumL.) by sampling leaves twice during the growing season at different stages of morphologic development. Since the equations for the two sampling dates did not differ appreciably, the ruler was developed from the pooled data. |
