Abstrakt: •First xenic high-throughput long-term cultivation of Chlorella vulgarisin closed microgravity-capable membrane raceway photobioreactor.•By successive batch processing in xenic culture a maximal biomass of 12.24 g l−1with a max. global volumetric productivity of 1.29 g l−1 d−1could be reached.•A min. PBR-volume of 482 l suitable to ensure a daily CO2reprocessing for one crew member.
