Abstrakt: Bone cement pressurisation is considered to be an advance in bone microlock fixation of the acetabular and femoral components of total hip arthroplasty. We have identified a previously unreported complication of this technique in which the pressurised cement extruded through an anterior pubic anchor drill hole giving early and persistent anterior groin pain. This paper reports on the condition, its incidence and treatment in four cases.
