Abstrakt: •Enterobacterhospital isolates were tolerant to multiple biocides and antibiotics.•Main genetic determinants of resistance were aac(6ʹ)-Ib, sul2and blaTEM.•Possible correlations existed between biocide tolerance and antibiotic resistance genes.•Biocide tolerance may favour persistence of antibiotic-resistant strains in hospitals.
