Abstrakt: Gas within the psoas muscle is usually due to primary or secondary infection necessitating aggressive therapy. We report a case of gas within the psoas muscle due to an intravertebral vacuum cleft, a benign manifestation of vertebral body necrosis. Identification of such a cleft in the proper clinical setting makes invasive evaluation unnecessary.
