Abstrakt: Available self-retaining retractors are poorly suited for hand surgery. Devices described for use in hand surgery have generally been designed to hold uninvolved digits out of the field. The described self-retaining retractor provides modified skin hooks attached to a stainless steel framework by rubber bands for simultaneous retraction of operative fields in the digit, palm, or forearm.
