Direct-acting antiviral agents for hepatitis C treatment are not expected to have the neuropsychiatric adverse effects as sociated with interferon-based therapies. We present the first case of visual hallucinations during chronic hepatitis C treatment with sofosbuvir and simeprevir. Hallucinations ceased upon starting antipsychotic medication, and continuation of treatment was safe. |
