| Abstrakt: | A diverse range of infectious diseases has presented with acute renal failure (ARF) in the West of Scotland in the past five years. Full recovery is possible provided the specific diagnosis is made early and treatment with temporary renal support is combined with effective antimicrobial therapy. |
