Abstrakt: Two‐month spot checks of the laboratory files of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital show that over the last four years total and specific categories of staphylococcal infections have progressively declined, and Gram‐negative bacillary infections have been static since the definite rise of previous years. Comparisons with overseas reports confirm similar trends overseas.
