The Cherry bilirubin‐protein ratio in liquor was compared to Li ley's change in absorbance (Δ A) at 450 nm in 309 women affected by Rhesus isoimmunization. It was found that the Cherry ratio led to more accurate predictions when the haemolytic disease of the baby was classed as mild or moderate. However, the two methods are complementary and both should be performed whenever amniocentesis is undertaken in the investigation of haemolytic disease. |
