Abstrakt: The complete neutron-proton scattering process is considered for high resolution spectrometry of neutrons in the energy range around 14 MeV. It is found that spectrometers suitable for detailed studies of the neutron spectra from fusion reactors working in the D-T phase can be constructed. The obtainable resolution is 100 keV fwhm at an efficiency of 10−6cm2and better than 200 keV fwhm at an efficiency of 10−5cm2.
