Abstrakt: This study examines the differences in self-reported fathering activities of men who were reported to be a residential biological father or father figure. Specifically, this study examines self-reported fathering activities which include physical play activities, social skills activities, cognitive activities, and caregiving activities across African American, European American, and Latino fathers of low income families. The subjects for this study were 485 men who were identified as fathers or father figures of children enrolled in the Early Head Start Research and Evaluation Project in 14 communities across the United States. The results indicate that there were reported differences in types of fathering activities across race and ethnicity.
