Abstrakt: Full narcotic doses of ethyl alcohol significantly reduce the lethal effects of severe acute anoxic anoxia in mice if administered 1 hour prior to exposure to anoxia but not if administered 14 hours before exposure. Amytal and pentobarbital do not produce comparable prophylactic effects.
