A novel use of routine capnography ‐ diagnosis of tracheoesophageal fistula

Abstrakt: We report a case of tracheosophageal fistula (TOF) diagnosed with routine capnography via the tracheal tube during oesophago‐gastro‐duodenoscopy (OGD) by a gastroenterologist. This resulted in a dramatic change in management for this clinically deteriorating patient when OGD had failed to demonstrate the TOF.
