Porous nanosilica has been identified as an outstanding candidate for controlled drug delivery. However, unmodified PNS‐based carriers usually exhibited an initial release of loaded bioactive agents, which may limit their potential clinical applications. In this study, the surface of porous nanosilica was bonded with 3‐aminopropyltriethoxysilane for Doxorubicin delivery. The modified PNS was successfully formed with spherical shape and diameter around 70 nm determined by Transmission Electron Microscopy. Drug loading and release behaviors of Doxorubicin/ Porous nanosilica‐3‐aminopropyltriethoxysilane, in particular, were also tested. This study is expected to improve the stability of PNS for drug delivery system in cancer therapy. |
