Psychological empowerment is how employees view themselves relative to their superiors and work environments. Successfully influencing the construction of a positive perception will allow employers to reap organisational rewards from their employees. Statistic results are hardly generalisable as they depend on the work environment studied, the prevailing cultures and individual characteristics. The aim of this study was to conduct comparative analyses between two samples extracted from Egypt and India on the constructs psychological empowerment, organisational commitment and quality of work-life. Data were collected from several MBA classes to achieve the objective of diversity. Insightful results, practical implications and future research directions are provided. |
