Abstrakt: Despite technologic advances, cervical radiculopathy remains a disorder that is diagnosed and treated best clinically. In the occasional patient who is difficult to diagnose, judiciously used and properly interpreted MR imaging and electromyogram are helpful in making a diagnosis. Proper evaluation and nonsurgical treatment should lead to good or excellent outcomes in 70% to 90% of cases. Surgery should be reserved for patients with progressive neurologic deficit, particularly in the presence of myelopathy or unremitting pain interfering with function.
