The most common injuries to athletes cause acute or chronic alterations of the musculoskeletal system. These changes often are accompanied by pain, deficits in range of motion, and impaired athletic performance. The use of appropriate manipulation techniques after specific musculoskeletal diagnosis may decrease pain and improve the athlete’s functional deficits, speeding return to play. |
