Abstrakt: |
Reading disorder is a specific developmental disorder affecting a child’s ability to decode printed language into speech despite cognitive ability and listening comprehension in the average or above average range. Although reading comprehension can be affected, this is not the area of primary disability. This article includes a case history and discusses research on the genetic, neurologic, and cognitive aspects of reading disorder as well as clinical signs and treatment. |
