New protein farnesyltransferase inhibitors, andrastins A∼C ( 1∼3) have been isolated from the cultured broth of Penicilliumsp. FO-3929. The structure of 1enriched by [1,2- 13C]acetate was elucidated by INADEQUATE and 13C 13C spin decoupling experiments. The structure of 2and 3were also elucidated by NMR experiments. Andrastins had an ent-5 α-14 β-androstane skeleton with keto-enol tautomerism. |
