With few guidelines to follow, behavioral science courses in American medical schools have a wide latitude in their design and curriculum. As part of a more global survey of the teaching of behavioral sciences, the authors collected data concerning the use and choice of textbooks for such courses. The textbooks reported as required by one or more schools are identified. The survey data are analyzed and discussed. |
