Retardation of ABS in Different Aquifers

Abstrakt:	This study demonstrates that ground disposal of wastewater containing ABS results in ASS penetration into groundwater and, subsequently, into drinking water, as only a small and limited amount of ABS can be adsorbed on permeable soil strata; however, the traveling velocities of ABS are far lower than those of the water front, and many months or several years will be required for ABS to reach the nearest downstream well, as practice has shown.
