A direct immunocytochemical labelling method has been applied to the detection of Chlamydia ovisin experimentally-infected L929 cells. The procedure is simple and enables characteristic inclusion bodies to be identified rapidly using bright field illumination. The technique overcomes some of the difficulties associated with conventional non-specific chemical staining methods. |
