Vaccination is key for management and health plans on farm, so it is vital that it is completed correctly. Various types of vaccine are available, including live and killed, which ensure the correct protocol can be applied, resulting in effective cover being provided to all animals and thereby preventing disease. Vaccine storage is an important part of achieving this which is often overlooked, leading to vaccination failures. Recent developments in technology such as smart vaccinators will help to reduce errors made on farms and improve vaccination accuracy across the swine industry. |
