Abstrakt: This paper focuses on the cooperation of academic and business sectors to foster sustainability. In the first section, we highlight the importance of awareness-raising and describe the forms of cooperation between the two sectors. As a case study, we present a programme initiated by a multinational consultancy company, PwC in Hungary. The programme entitled "It is about others" is a competition for teams of students, and the purpose is to propose and, in the case of a successful application, realise projects with an environmental or social goal. The aim of our research was to give an in-depth analysis of a complex, innovative Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. We introduce the process of the competition, its development and impacts on stakeholders. The main lessons are discussed and potential development options are investigated. Finally, implications for scholars and practitioners are discussed, highlighting the importance and specialities of innovative CSR initiatives.
