This paper presents a review of the technical and managerial factors which have been found to be of importance in the successful application of automatic control in mineral processes, using selected examples of successful installations as illustrations. During the course of the review, suggestions are made regarding areas in which further research and development appears to be needed. The review concludes with a brief case study of a recent Canadian installation, including an economic analysis of results. |
