Field trials were carried out in Shropshire to investigate the effect of fascioliasis control on the productivity of lowland sheep. One hundred and sixty Welsh Half-Bred ewes were allocated at random to five pairs of 1.60 ha plots. One plot in each pair was untreated. On the other five plots the snail habitats were treated with the molluscicide trifenmorph and the ewes were dosed with the fasciolicide oxyclozanide. |
