The oil recovery process by the waterflooding of the reservoir as a control of distributed parameter system with free boundary is considered. This problem, known as the Muskat /or Verigin/ problem, is very closed to the Stefan problem, considered by many authors. The difference is that the value of the function on the moving boundary is not known in the Muskat problem. In the paper the Muskat problem for two-dimensional oil recovery process is formulated. The original immobilization technique for a certain case of Muskat problem is presented. Some practical remarks on the numerical simulation of reservoirs are given and a conception of the solution procedure for the two-dimensional free boundary control problem is discussed. |
