Abstrakt: The service robot is the future research subject in robotics. One of the basic operations of the service robot is the autonomous freely moving ability. In this paper the path finding problem and collision avoidance for an autonomous mobile robot will be investigated. At first the path finding problem of autonomous mobile robots in a two dimensional space among stationary obstacles is investigated. For the path finding problem Kohonen’s self-organising mapping will be applied. After path finding collision avoidance with moving obstacles in the work space using artificial neural networks will also be investigated.
