Abstrakt: This studycompared 5 different methods of pacing the presentation of a discrimination task for 50 mentally retarded Ss. Data support the hypothesis that such Ss perform better if paced at a rate slower than that at which they would pace themselves. Where the presentation rate was changed during practice, performance was enhanced and the number of learners increased.
