Davis and Harrington (1957) reported that schizophrenics were better able to process a given amount of information when the content of the task was abstract then when it was human. This finding was strengthened in the present study, but it appears that the differential task performance of the schizophrenics is likely attributed to a greater amount of irrelevant information in the human task. |
