Abstrakt: 29 men between the ages of 19 and 79 years and 60 women between the ages of 18 and 73 years completed an open-ended questionnaire seeking information on romantic acts. These subjects, shoppers in a mall in Toledo, Ohio, were asked to cite specific acts of romance. Among the top ten, the three most frequently specified acts were the kiss, sending or receiving flowers, and dinner in a variety of settings. Responses were compared to two recent studies in which similar information was sought.
