The usage of vms is a valuable tool in traffic management. Road users value these signs. Thus, vms play an important role in Dutch transport policy. The deployment of large numbers of vms calls for the development of a general information strategy. This was done integrating existing knowledge, the expertise of experts and the stated needs and ideas of road users. In this way important applications of vms were identified, and tools for developing specific text strategies were constructed. |
