Abstrakt: | The management of hoof wounds is an important component of equine traumatology. It involves the same surgical principles as for other skin wounds but requires a longer convalescence, with careful postoperative monitoring. Both the veterinarian and the client need to be committed to the horse’s care for weeks or months before the final result may be apparent. With such principles and commitment, most hoof wounds respond to proper therapy and recover without defects. |
