Abstrakt: •Three stable layers of TiO2powder were coated on glass by dip-coating technique.•The TiO2layers were active and reproducible in the methyl orange decolorization.•The dye photodecolorization reaction followed the pseudo-first-order model.•The dye photodecolorization reaction was improved at optimum conditions.•Fastest dye color removal was observed by the use of three coated catalyst layers.
