AbstractThis paper introduces the idea of the “inflection” of formula to account for the distinctive ways in which lawyers and the law are portrayed in CBC television series ranging from Wojeckto Street Legal. The paper also examines various law-related drama specials and legal docudramas such as Scales of Justicewith a view to finding out how the law and legal professionals are perceived in Canadian popular culture. The author concludes with a consideration of some lawyers' reactions to their television image. |
