Abstrakt:	The reactions of glycine hydroxamic acid with aliphatic ketones and acetophenone are commonly used for the regioselective synthesis of cyclic hydroxamic acids 6a–e; spiro hydroxamic acid 6a was structurally characterised by X-ray diffraction analysis.
