Optical properties of a two-electron system in a double ellipsoidal quantum dot

Abstrakt:	•A suitable change of variable transforms the ellipsoidal quantum dot into a spherical QD.•The energy levels and wave function of a two-electron system are calculated.•Perturbation theory is used to obtain the energy of the carriers in the presence of a two electron system.•The optical absorption coefficients versus photon energy are calculated.•The group index and group velocity for a two-electron system are plotted.
